I was very fortunate to be involved in the purchase of an Artomat machine for the local community college. I had brought the idea of artomat up to my artgroup and we had all been working on contributing when we heard that a favorite teacher of our was retiring. My friend Erin and I approached another professor with the idea of buying an artomat machine for the school in his name and setting up a scholarship where the proceeds from the machine benefit art students. We helped the school spread the word and raise money, as well as work with Clark Whittington, of Artomat to build a machine for us, and speak at the school. I was so nervous and scared to meet Clark, but it was so great to hear him speak about his ideas and experiences with Artomat and it just solidified my whole experience and love for Artomat.

Here is my flickr set devoted to artomat, and to t he left you will see a picture from when Clark came out to little Malta, IL to dedicate the machine. And here is a better picture of the machine from the artomat site.
