Tee Hee! This is the damage done in just about an hour. I had a shopping binge with one of my tops of the pops, Erin. I was “exhaustified” after work and the prospect of having to do last minute Christmas shopping seemed so daunting until I got downtown and last minute I saw parking spots open right in front of Megan Morrisons and Moxie, (their new website). Parking downtown DeKalb, that never happens, better grab it while it’s there.

I planned on going to Moxie first but figured since I was right in front of Megan Morrisons I’d just go in there first. Afterwards, right as I was about to cross the street to go to Moxie there were sirens and police going through red lights and a cop stopped right next me. I stood paralyzed as I honestly thought he was going to reprimand me for trying to jaywalk. But then more police showed up and I was just stunned as they all stopped their cars in the middle of the road and then ran across the street. Looking across the street I see a familiar face and a wave as a similarly stunned Erin shouts my name.
Apparently she said some guy called the police saying some woman had a knife at a nearby location. She had just come from Moxie and decided to join me and have me help her decide on some items she was debating to buy or not. Afterwards we went to M.M.s where I had just been and I bought more!
I am so excited, I found so many excellent presents, perfect for some loved ones. I still have more shopping, but at least I don’t feel so unprepared. Anyway, it was a nice, little, unexpected occurance.
Off topic, look at what Erin recently made. Now that is lots of patience. We’ve both taken metalwork classes under The Man, The Myth, The Legend, Michael Bennett, but she is so much more driven to teach herself new things. I really admire her for that.
So now, I think I will pop in a DVD and make myself cozy while I paint some more artomat pieces.

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).
