This year, I was approached to submit my work, and then commissioned to write articles, for the Stampington / Someset magazine Art Quilting Studio. My work was then referred to Jewelry Affaire Magazine (also by the same publishers) for a second article in a separate issue. Both issues are still available in stores this month, if you are interested in picking one up, or you can order past issues on their website.
The article is about my quilted journal covers, in the midori traveler’s notebook style. I have a few available for sale in my etsy shop. Keep an eye on the shop if you are interested, as I am always making more and adding them slowly.
It was a huge thrill to see the magazine in a store. I wasn’t expecting it, but had to take a little photo sesh selfie-ing myself with the magazine.
The next magazine that came out was Jewelry Affaire and featured my quilted fabric rings.

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).
Congrats Robyn! I love your work and it’s wonderful to see others enjoying what you create!
Congratulations! So cool to see your work in print.
