Um, I must not have been paying attention close enough when my Granda was talking to me because Tasha Tudor is still alive?!?!?! I just found a link to this site of hers and check out this page that talks about what she is up to lately. According to her site, she is 91 years old. My Grandma loved Tasha Tudor and we always had her books around growing up, but I thought she had probably been born in the 1800s. Honestly, I must have known this because I have this book about her life. Amazing. I want to live a life like hers, raising chickens, making candles, gardening and creating artwork.
This reminds me of this other really good book that we bought for my mom that has all sorts of instructions on how to do all sorts of traditional skills, from how to make candles, canning, spinning, to taking care of farm animals and woodworking, you name it, it’s covered. It’s a great book to have in your library. Amazon says that out of 53 reviews it has a 5 star rating, pretty impressive.

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).
Shut up! Grandma never told us that. I thought she was long dead too.
Here, I logged on to read a reinactment of the laser pointer incident and instead I learn Tahsa Tudor is still alive. How about that!
