It’s week two of August and here are my contributions to August Break 2013
Day 8
This summer Matt and I have been taking lots of walks, this particular day we walked downtown to Cassie’s popcorn stand.
Day 9
My first vintage paint by number (purchased not painted by myself)
Day 10
I tried planting a row of sunflowers in the spring and nothing happened. Fortunately my parents’ neighbors grew a row as well, right alongside the fence line so I got to admire them still.
Day 11
This weekend my sister bought me an early (over a month away) birthday present, a fitbit one. I’m really loving it. I’ve been wanting a pedometer and was afraid I might be overwhelmed by all the data that goes along with this, but it’s really streamlined, and easy and fun to use. So far, I’ve done at least 10,000 steps every day. I’m making no promises though, since the fastest way for me to abandon a “GOAL” is by announcing it.
Day 12
When I’m riding my bike I will always stop and pick up a penny if I see it. Apparently I now break for feathers as well. After I said that my friend Courtney warned me not to ride my bike by the lagoon on other side of the town, too many feathers :) But I just had to stop for this pretty striped feather. It was standing straight up and down in the grass in the middle of the dirt road.
Day 13
This morning was a cold ride to work. It’s only the middle of August but it sure felt like fall. A coworker brought me this fall leaf and I had to give it a face… the koolaid man face.
Day 14
I’ve been obsessed with the idea of making a vision board ever since listening to last week’s episode of After the Jump. Last night I went over to my friend Ann‘s house and we worked on vision boards. Ann finished hers and mine is still a work in progress as seen in the collection of ephemera above.

Hi, I'm Robyn and I was Hatched from a Kinder Surprise Egg. Graphic Designer by day, Maker of things by night. I have worked as a graphic artist professionally since I was 16 years old. Went on to get my Bachelors of Art from NIU. I like to share my Artwork online at flickr.com/photos/robayre and on my own personal website http://www.robayre.com. I also have an online shop http://www.robayre.etsy.com where you can find more of my "crafty" sorts of things, as well as a random piece of artwork here and there. Oh, and I'm also an occasional contributor to Artomat (artomat.org).
